Got a code? How to use invite and discount codes on BrewInTH

An invite code unlocks a package free for its months; a discount code cuts the price of your next purchase. Which box each goes in, and what errors mean.
Someone on the BrewInTH team sent you a code, or a friend passed theirs along in a chat. You open Plans & billing and find two places to enter it: Have a discount code? and Have an invite code? Put it in the wrong one and you get "Unknown discount code" or "That invite code does not exist.", and it's hard to tell whether the code is bad or you did something wrong.
This guide covers how the two codes differ, where each one goes, when a discount comes off, how long an invite-code package lasts and what every error message means, so your code works the first time.
In short
🎟️ An invite code comes from the team and unlocks a package or add-on, free for the months on the code, the moment you redeem it
🏷️ A discount code comes from the team or a friend and lowers the price of the next package or add-on you buy
📍 Both boxes are on Plans & billing, and only the account owner sees them
🧮 Apply a discount code before you press buy: it comes off before any credit, and with auto-renew only the first period is discounted
🔎 Code not found? Check the spelling, then try the other box
Invite code or discount code?
The quick way to remember it: an invite code gives you the package; a discount code makes it cheaper.

Invite code
- Created and sent by the BrewInTH team
- Unlocks a package or an add-on without payment, for the number of months set on the code
- Takes effect the moment you redeem it: no card, no payment page
- Codes the platform generates look like
BREW-XXXX-XXXX
Discount code
- Comes from the team, or is a friend's personal code from the Earn programme
- Takes a percentage or a fixed amount in baht off the price
- Applies to the next package or add-on you buy
- Codes the platform generates look like
SAVE-XXXX
The team and your friends can also give codes their own names, so you can't always tell them apart by looks. If you're not sure, ask whoever sent it which kind it is.
Where to enter a code
Both boxes are under Plans & billing in the console. The Upgrade plan link under the file storage bar in the sidebar takes you to the same page.
- Have a discount code? sits at the top of the page, next to Credit balance.
- Have an invite code? is its own panel just above the package cards, with the line "A code from the team unlocks a package or add-on without payment for the period stated on the code."
You can type in lower case; the boxes switch to capitals for you. Only the account owner sees either box. If you're a team member on someone else's account, send the code to the owner to enter.
Redeeming an invite code
- Open Plans & billing.
- In Have an invite code?, enter the code and press Redeem.
- On success you'll see the package and its months, for example "Activated: Maker · 3 month(s)", and the current plan at the top of the page changes straight away.
- Payment history gets a ฿0 order marked "invite code".
How an invite-code package behaves
- It lasts the number of months on the code, counted from the day you redeem it.
- Already on that package? The time is added after your current end date, so you lose nothing.
- A bigger package? You switch to it today. The unused days of the package you paid for become credit, and its auto-renew stops (how the credit is worked out: Switching package mid-period on BrewInTH).
- A smaller package? It can't be redeemed while your current package is still running, because your existing projects might not fit its limits. The code isn't counted as used.
- An add-on code (Backups, for example) adds that add-on for its months and leaves your package alone.
- Nothing is charged when it ends. An invite-code package doesn't renew by itself. To keep going, buy a package before the end date (buying the same one extends it from that date). If it runs out, your sites don't go dark at once and nothing is deleted; see What happens when your BrewInTH package ends?
Using a discount code

- Open Plans & billing, enter the code in Have a discount code? and press Apply. Always do this before you press buy.
- The box turns into Discount code applied, showing the code and the saving, for example "Save 10% · shown on the payment page".
- Package cards the code covers show the new price, for example "Code SAVE-XXXX: ฿1,499 → ฿1,350".
- Before you buy, check the auto-renew boxes: Renew and charge automatically each period (uncheck for a one-time purchase) above the package cards, and the one on each add-on card. They usually start ticked; untick for a one-time purchase. Then press the button of the package or add-on you want. The price on the payment page already has the discount taken off.
- Once payment goes through, the code is used on that purchase and leaves your account; Have a discount code? is empty again.
How the discount is worked out
- Percentage codes are worked out on the full price and rounded down to whole baht: 10% off Maker at ฿1,499 is ฿149, so it costs ฿1,350.
- Fixed-amount codes take off the stated baht, never more than the price.
- With credit as well, the discount comes off first and the credit after it. With ฿49 of credit on a one-time purchase you'd pay ฿1,301, which is why the card adds "(before credit)".
- If the discount and credit cover everything, a one-time purchase goes through at once, without a payment page.
- With auto-renew, only the first period is discounted; later periods are charged at the regular price.
What a discount code covers
- Packages and add-ons bought on this page. Some codes are limited by the team to packages only, add-ons only, or particular packages.
- Package cards show the discounted price when the code covers them. For add-ons under Add more resources, you'll see the lower price on the payment page.
- Not short site addresses (฿49 / ฿99) or new domain registrations.
- One code at a time. To switch codes, press Remove first, then enter the new one.
- Bought something the code doesn't cover, or pressed buy but didn't pay? The code stays on your account for a purchase it does cover.
- A code that expires while it's waiting simply isn't applied.
A code from a friend
A code from a friend is their personal code from BrewInTH's Earn menu. It goes in Have a discount code? like any other.
- It takes off the Earn programme's rate (10% at the time of writing) and works on packages and add-ons.
- It's valid for one month from the day your friend created it; once it expires, ask them for a new one.
- Your friend earns a commission on what you actually pay, at no extra cost to you.
- You can't use your own code: you'll see "You cannot use your own code; share it with others".

Error messages and what to do

The invite code box
- "That invite code does not exist." → Check the spelling, 0 versus O, and the hyphens. If it's a discount code, enter it in Have a discount code? instead.
- "This invite code has expired." or "This invite code has been disabled." → Ask the team for a new one.
- "This invite code has no uses left." → The code had a limited number of uses, and they've all been taken.
- "This account already used that code." → Each account can redeem a given invite code once.
- "You cannot move to a smaller package while the current one is running…" → The code is for a smaller package than yours. Redeem it after your current package ends (if the code is still valid), or contact support.
The discount code box
- "Unknown discount code" → Check the spelling. If it's an invite code, use Have an invite code? instead. A code that has been switched off or cancelled shows this too.
- "This discount code has expired" or "This discount code has reached its use limit" → Ask whoever gave it to you for a new one.
- "You cannot use your own code; share it with others" → Personal codes are for other people.
Both boxes
- "Too many requests. Please wait a moment." → More than 10 tries in 10 minutes. Wait a little, then try again.

FAQ
I applied a code, but the payment page still shows the full price
Check three things:
- You pressed buy before applying the code. If you press the same package's button again within the hour, the platform reopens that earlier checkout, which was created without the code. Press Cancel in the Unpaid checkout bar at the top of the page, then buy again.
- The code doesn't cover that item. A package card without the line "Code …: ฿… → ฿…" means the code can't be used on that package.
- You ticked auto-renew for the package you're on, and it hasn't ended yet. That subscription only starts charging when your current period ends, so the discount isn't used and the code stays on your account. To use it now, untick auto-renew and buy one period (which extends from your end date).
Can I use an invite code and a discount code together?
Yes. They live in different boxes and work differently: the invite code unlocks its package straight away, while the discount code waits on your account for your next purchase. For example, redeem an invite code for a package, then use a discount code when you buy the Backups add-on.
Do I get a receipt for an invite-code package?
No. Receipts are issued only for orders with a payment, and an invite-code order is ฿0, so it appears only as a line in payment history. A purchase made with a discount code gets a receipt for the amount you actually paid. More in Receipts and tax invoices on BrewInTH.
I'm on an invite-code package and buy a bigger one. Do the remaining days become credit?
No. Credit is worked out from money actually paid, and an invite-code package is a ฿0 order, so there is no value left to turn into credit. The new package starts the day you pay, as usual.
There's an "Accept" card in my console, but I never entered a code. What is it?
It's a package the team has granted to your account directly. The card shows the package, how many months and when they start counting. Press Accept when you're ready; nothing changes on your account until you do. No card is needed, nothing is charged when it ends, and your data stays. The rules match invite codes: the same package is extended, a bigger one switches today, and a smaller one waits until your current package ends.
The projects page says "Invite-only for now". What do I do?
While BrewInTH is invite-only, a free account with no projects needs an invite code before it can create its first project. Enter the code in that box and press Redeem. When you see "Code accepted. You can create your project now.", press New project. No code yet? Ask the team on the Talk to support page.
Summary
Invite codes and discount codes sit on the same page but do different jobs: an invite code unlocks a package at once with nothing to pay, while a discount code lowers the price of your next purchase. Put the code in the right box, apply it before you press buy, and check the price on the card before you pay, and it will work the first time.
